Default Will the AirBags from a '95 work in my '02?

I am building a wrecked '02 V6 car and I also have a '95 (V8) parts car.

Will the '95 AirBags fit in the '02 and everything work correctly?

Thanks in advance for the help,
Jeff in MS

Check the connections, but I'm going to go on a limb and say no it wont because the 95 Mustang GT used an OBDI wiring harness and ECU while the 02 Mustang V6 uses an OBDII wiring harness and more sophisticated ECU and components. The airbags themselves are the same, but the sensors and harness could be different.

If you own both cars can't hurt to check.

94-95 V8 mustangs are obd1, but 94 and up V6 are obd2, ford likes to re use plug styles so it might fit.

Beat me to it, but yest 94/95 GTs used OBDI components. 94/95 V6s used a half/half OBDI/OBDII system. It had the harness and some features of both systems, but isn't full OBDII as you can't use tuners with them as the ECU isn't fully formatted for that.

You're 95 may have a late model ecu as I've personally tried to see if an SCT tuner I had would even work on a 94 V6 and it did not. It would pull codes but trying to do the tune it gave an error.

You guys were right. I had the old type plugs. I had to buy a set but got lucky and found a set for cheap.

Thanks for the info!
