Clutch replacement recommendations
I recently had my clutch replaced by a mechanic outside of a repair shop (at his home). Unfortunately, he damaged the the fingers on the clutch wheel (not sure what you call that part), and so now I hear a ticking/squeaking from something tapping the pressure plate.
I am having the clutch replaced (the right way), and I just wanted to get some recommendations on which standard V6 clutch manufacturers that are trusted by my fellow mustang forum members.

There are a ton of clutch brands out there ranging from cheap OEM replacements to high dollar aftermarket clutches. I've used OEM, Spec, Centerforce, and FX, and honestly the best bang for the buck was the FX clutch. I found them by accident on ebay, and I usually stay away from anything ebay, but at the time I was low on funds and needed a new clutch for my 5.0 so I bought a Stage 3 from them and figured I'd try it out. Well needless to say it was a great investment. Easy to install, great quality throwout bearing, and best yet, not chatter like Spec (which that clutch replaced). Even though I sold the car 2 years ago, it's still going strong on the car to this very day.
