It's a 2001 V6, has well over 100k on it, but recently the odometer has started displaying a "T" instead of the first three numbers of the mileage. Any ideas what this means and how to fix it?

Probably not a good guess but is that your trip odometer? IIRC that was only three digits. If thats not it then does the figure displayed change when driving?

Sounds like the little switch has been pushed on the gauge cluster and its showing trip as said. You push it normally and it sets to zero and then as you travel shows miles traveled. Just push in that stick sticking through your gauge face.

I wonder if that switch stick thing was broken off and is missing from OPs car.
