Yea my local shop told me they would cut just behind the Y pipe, run dual 2.5" aluminum pipes to the current flowmaster and a second flowmaster (I can buy it where ever and bring it too them) and then run from the muffs to the tips of my choosing (once again I can bring them in from anywhere) and weld the tips on. All for $175 for labor. Or I can buy the muffler and Tips from them, but he recommended buying my own because it would be cheaper on me.

You really don't need 2.5 inch exhaust at your power level, 2.25 is plenty and can still handle over 300hp.

You don't need 2.5" period because the rest of your exhaust will still be 2.25".

Yep it's 2.25" on V6s, and I may be wrong but I think it's the same on some model GTs, but don't quote me on that one lol.

yeah i thought mine was 2.5 also, thats what i had the shop use when they did my exhaust and it matched up perfectly to the original pipes. 94-98 v6s could be 2.25, not sure about that.

I have magnaflow high flow cats, h pipe, flowmaster delta 40 series mufflers, dumped behind the driver seat/before the rear axle. All 2 1/4" pipe. I love the way it sounds, deep and has good tone.
