Hmmm...
V6 or GT?
I have heard others swear by it.
And swear against the Royal Purple.
I will know soon enough.
Its time for a tranny fluid change, anyhow...

EDIT: I did the AMSOIL swap out of the V6 manual tranny
and it is like night and day. The 2.5 Quarts of OEM ATF fluid
was just not up to the job of providing smooth shifts.

2.8 Quarts of AMSOIL Synthetic ATF (the proper fill amount)
and the shifts are silky smooth and consistant.
Well worth the $31.50 for the 3 Quarts of AMSOIL.
The tranny is much quieter now as well...

I did a gear oil change-out in rear end last year
and got rid of my low speed 'howling'.
It really sounded like bad axle bearings at 30K miles but upon
disassembly, they proved to be fine and dandy.
While I was knee deep in it, I threw in some new TIMKEM
axle bearings and seals along with some new gear oil...
Pretty quiet at any speed now.
The fluid was below the fill plug just like the low rear end
lubricant TSB warned about.
Got her filled up to the fill plug and alls well now.
