Default 2012 V6

Short and sweet question, Can I get consistent 28-32 mpg with the stock 2012 V6 mustang? I drive 95-98% highway and backroads. Thank you. I did a search and some people love their gas mileage and then some get like 22 mpg. I tend to drive with a very light foot when commuting to work.

it sounds like you should be getting that good of gas mileage if you drive the way you say. also use cruise control as often as you can and im sure you'll be getting 28-32 mpg.

Thank you for your reply. During the week I get into daily driver mode and then on the weekends I let my car play and develop more of a heavy foot. When you added the x-pipe, did you put it in place of the resonaters and how do you like the sound? Is it more "exotic" or does it still have the muscle tone? I know with the GTO's the h pipe gave a deeper muscle tone than the X, just curious to see how the stang responds.

I don't see why not, I have gotten 28.2 mpg (Canadian) with mine and that was driving in the Rockies

No, no. I cut my stock pipe just after my resonators and then installed the X pipe, then mid pipes and then gt mufflers. My car sounds more muscle than anything else and i couldn't be happier with any other setup. I've had it for about 11k miles.
