Default 2014 gas gauge slow to show full

New 2014 ... when filling up gas gauge won't show full until driven for a mile or two. My 2007 did the same thing. Thought it would have been fixed or re-designed by now. Is this "normal"?

Not for me. Mine tops out right away when I fill up. Havent heard of anyone else having this problem. Might have to go back to the dealership and have it checked.

Be sure your ignition is off when you fill up. No sound system; OFF.

As I said, my 07 did the same thing. The discussions on this forum at that time indicated a number of others had the same problem. Dealer service failed to correct it by replacing sensors, etc. Attributed to the saddle-bag configuration of the tank.

Hello kenmustang,

I recommend you bring your vehicle in to your Ford dealer for diagnosis as soon as possible. Then, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate this to the customer service manager for your area.
