Default Bama 91R vs stock tune?

I'm considering getting a tuner from AM, but want to make sure it's worth it.

I have a stock tune now, and would run a 91R or 91P tune. (High altitude, cannot get 93 gas here).

Is it worth it? I have no other power adding mods.

A custom 87 octane tune runs circles around the stock 87 tune. So take a stab at what I think a good (a.k.a. Bama) 91 tune would be like?

A Custom tune is one of the most beneficial mods you can do to your S197 Mustang. Like listed above, it's night and day difference over stock! You're going to notice large gains in Power, torque, acceleration, drive ability, gas mileage, throttle response, shift points (if Auto) and much more! Let me tell you a little bit about how we write our tunes:

For every Bama Tune we ask you 19 questions about your specific Mustang, including your unique mods and style of driving. This info helps us write custom tunes from the ground-up for your Mustang's mods that will give you the most horsepower that we can safely deliver. Between our 14 different Project Mustangs and tons of street/track and dyno testing (on our in-house Dynojet 224xLC), we're looking for any minor tweaks to be made that can benefit you guys.

I hope this helps your decision! Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future. You can shoot me a PM or feel free to hit up the Bama team. They can reached at the contact information found in my signature!

-Dan

Yeah, just like my wife. When I start up the GT, she just sits and smiles at me and says "I need a towel".

Oh yes huge improvement. I have a 91R tune on my GT did wonders and I hit 22mpg after about 30 minutes on highway driving. It never went past 16 on its stock tune and now I get 16 driving around town. Never did that before around town with stock I was at 12.

Next step for me is custom turning and dyno time at TMS to push it a bit harder I know I can get more out of it.

Not to mention I was at about 385 to 390 rwhp before the tune. After three dyno runs I was seeing 412 wrph with the 91R tune so yeah its an improvement.

Were going to be doing it to my wifes V6 here next summer.
