Default Tire Advice Needed - Pirelli & Conti DWS on back order

I need new tires for my 06 GT with 17" stock wheels. Tire Rack tells me that my first choice, Conti DWS has been on back order since May and the Pirelli P Zero Nero is also on back order.

I am curious of any other recommendations for all season, daily driver tires. Anyone try the General G-Max or Kuhmo Ecsta 4s?

have you looked into the Nitto NT05's? Tire rack doesnt have them on their site but Discounttiredirect.com does.

That is not an all season daily tire.. Great tire but for general use, overkill and not as comfortable.

However the Invo and Motivo are great choices for all around..

Haha, not arguing with you there... but some people want a daily driver mustang and the tread life on the NT05 isn't as long, nor is the cold weather traction that great..

Tires should be chosen by the needs of the driver, but decided by the budget.... what are they?

I understand you want higher mileage, but you have a bit of a history of having fast cars, so what about grip? Are you willing to forgo the potential performance of your car for tires that wont get the most of it?

Jazzer... jus sayin'

Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up finding an awesome local Craigslist deal on a set of new take-off 18" wheels with the OEM Pirelli's. I'm loving how much better the car looks with 18's rather than the stock 17 bullitts.
