turned 16 and was looking for the fastest car i could afford. this turned out to be a 92 Dodge Stealth RT ($1500 and 220hp). i knew i wanted the 330hp RT turbo but couldnt afford 4-8 grand. i got a full time job during summer vacation and bought a smashed up 1992 3000GT VR4 (same as stealth RT Turbo) at the end of the summer. for three years i restored that car and built it to what it is today. the first true test drive came after getting the car dyno tuned 3 years after i bought it and ive gotta say, going from ~180 fwhp to 418awhp was fun.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
a lot. its simpler to just say that its got a forged 3.0L bottom end with stock heads/cams. Upgraded turbos/fuel/engine management.
last time on the dyno (with stock motor) was 418whp. hopefully the next time i can break 500whp.
Suspension Modifications:
awd = no suspension mods and street tires and i can still cut 1.8 60 foots.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
stock rims. didnt want to fall into the ricer 'intake, exhaust, rims, lowering springs' type of crowd.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
all stock except for the cf hood.
Future Modifications:
unsure. i could bolt up some 600 whp DR750 turbos, or maybe jump to TD05 turbos (laggy) an make even more power. its a daily driver though so i might stick with the small turbos for fast spool. Read more ยป
