The seventh gen Mustang has not been the hit that Ford hoped it would be, and we have 10 ways to get it back on track.

Now that we are in the second half of 2025, I think we can all admit something. The seventh gen Mustang needs to be fixed. We were all excited for the arrival of the S650 Mustang and there are a few positives. The naturally aspirated 5.0L Coyote V8 lives on, as do the manual transmission options. Two things that are rapidly disappearing from the automotive world. However, that alone is not enough to make the new Mustang a hit. Because the harsh truth is this: prices are going up while sales are going down. Which isn’t a combination that Ford or its customers can be happy about. So, how can we make everyone happy?

Here are 10 ways to fix the seventh-gen Mustang….

1. Price

Dark Horse

Are you a billionaire? If so, congrats, this section doesn’t apply to you. For the other 340 million Americans, the price of a new Mustang is getting out of control. Yes, the price of just about everything is getting out of control, but the Mustang is just not the value it once was. A new Dark Horse can cost you as much as a new GT500 did a few years ago. A regular Mustang GT now goes for what the last-generation Mach 1 sold for. Ford has got to reel in the pricing on these things.
