The 2015 Mustang GT Is Amazing, Like My Wife

As you can see in the review video below, I fell in love with a Mustang this summer. It was a beautiful GT with the track pack and the Recaro seats. But what exactly about this car spoke to me in such a way that I was drawn to it? The thought started with a simple question: “What if the Mustang were a girl?” Cars are often given feminine names and are designed using shapes that are supposed to hit on latent sexual desires, like a woman’s hips. But what if you go deeper? What if I liked this Mustang so much because it actually reminded me of my wife?
It makes more sense than you think.
Both started life from humble beginnings, but have managed to grow and flourish in a way that has literally changed the world around them. Both started out pretty, but as the years have gone by, they have blossomed into something that is far more beautiful. They both also look great wearing blue. Both the Mustang and my wife are very comforting when they want to be, but they also possess unexpected power and fury when they need to.
Most importantly, they both aspire to be greater than they are. The Mustang has morphed from a simple muscle car into a world-challenging sports car that is changing the world’s idea of what an American car can really be. My wife is a world-travelling hero that is trying to make this planet a greater place for animals of all shapes and sizes as she works her way through veterinary school.
If the Mustang were a girl, it would be that amazing fun and talented girl you remember from high school that grew up to make everyone prouder than they could have ever imagined. The Mustang GT is more than a 5.0 badge, more than a heritage of straight lines and ¼ miles. It is a modern, sophisticated, and impressive piece of engineering that America should be proud of. It pushes other American cars, like the Camaro, to be better and faster. And it shows the rest of the world that we are not destined to be second-best to any other car producing country. Just as my wife has pushed me to be better and never settle.
I love the Mustang because it reminds me that things can always be improved, and we should always strive for that betterment.
