AmericanMuscle Mustang Show to Welcome All Muscle Cars
This year, the folks at AmericanMuscle are opening the gates of their annual Mustang show to muscle cars, trucks, and off-roaders!
For the last 12 years, our friends at AmericanMuscle have thrown a Mustangs-only event at Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Pennsylvania. As you’d expect, MustangForums has covered it in the past, as it’s been the the largest gathering of Ford’s prized ponies anywhere in the world. Even Dearborn hasn’t gotten more Mustang enthusiasts into one place! But this year, the organizers are shaking things up a bit, and inviting owners of all makes of muscle machines out to the big show.
Of course, there will still be Mustangs of every generation on display. So whether you’re into the Classics, Fox Bodies, or Cobra versions, there’s sure to be plenty of hardware that’s up your alley. Plus, proceeds from the event will still benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation, which helps critically ill kids fulfill their dreams. To date, the show in the Keystone State has raised over $400,000 for the beloved organization, and the goal with opening up the bill is to make it the most successful show yet.
Along with all the rows and rows of domestic iron, there will also be be an opening parade, a rev competition, and a burnout competition. Registration is open now, and until July 31st, it’ll run just $25. After that, the price will jump to $35, and if you’re the last-minute type, day-of reservations will cost you $50. That said, regardless of when you sign up, you’ll get a $20 credit to spend at the novelty booth, so even if you don’t win any awards, you can at least go home with a t-shirt.
Everything is set to kick off October 1st, and full details are available on the official American Muscle site. At this point, it’s unclear if we’ll have anyone on the ground covering the action. But if you’re planning to go, make sure to hit me up! I’d love to post some pictures from the event on the blog, and get some firsthand accounts as to how the first multi-make year event goes!
