Apollo Edition Mustang Prepares to Take Flight

What’s the next big move for the new Mustang, a car that seems to be conquering the automotive world? Well, launching a special model to conquer space, of course.
Dubbed the “Apollo Edition Mustang,” the one-off has all the unique styling cues for taking flight, as it’s inspired by NASA’s iconic Saturn V rockets, which launched 24 astronauts to the moon between 1968 and 1972.
According to a CollectSpace.com report, the custom Mustang was created by Ford and is being auctioned off to help raise funds for the Experimental Aircraft Association‘s youth program, an initiative aimed at students interested in the field of aviation.
Special features include a white body and black roll pattern on the hood, roof, and spoiler, as well as “United States” and “U.S.A.” details with the American flag. You can get a much better look at this street rocket in the video below.
I think it safe to say, Mustangs don’t get much more patriotic than this one.
