Moments before the fateful race, the Mustang enters the start area, ready for action. With tires squealing and engine roaring, this nitrous-powered Fox is ready to strut its stuff. Once the green light flashes, the driver stomps on the gas. And things go immediately wrong.

As soon as the Mustang takes off, it’s apparent there’s just too much power being supplied to the rear wheels. Its front end rises off the ground, and the driver goes into full-on wheelie mode. The only thing the driver can see is the hood, and the night sky above.

As he lets off the gas to bring the front end down, the front tires hit the race track so hard it causes the car to bounce. When the front tires touch down a second time, the driver loses control. He immediately swerves to the right and smashes head-on into the safety barrier. Upon impact, this tricked out Mustang slides along the top of the barrier, sparks flying, dust and smoke billowing. He finally spins around and comes to a halt in the middle of the track.

Concerned pit crews and other race officials promptly rush to the driver’s aid, where the only injuries to report are a smashed car and a bruised ego. In the wild world of drag racing, you never know what is going to happen.
