Marketing Fail: This Shelby Photo is Fake

Well, I should have seen this earlier. It turns out that while the new Shelby 1000 Mustang is the most powerful Mustang ever, the photo that was released showing it lifting the front tires off the ground is fake. 
You don’t have to be a Photoshop expert to see that there’s a blur under the left front tire, and there’s also no deformation of the rear tires. Given that the street-legal version is pumping out a mind-boggling 950hp, it’s kind of stupid that anyone thought they needed to fake the image, but everyone makes mistakes. 
Given the outrageous horsepower, I don’t think this gaffe is going to have much of an effect on the perception of the Shelby, and it’ll probably be mostly forgotten by the time this beast drops at the New York International Auto Show. But you can bet that Shelby will be a little more careful next time they send out photos of their next potent Pony.
