Mustang Cobra Jet Spied at SEMA
The annual SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada begins tomorrow, and with it so close to the start of the show, things are starting to leak out. One such leak involves the new Mustang Cobra Jet.
A few weeks ago, Ford teased the upcoming out-of-the-box drag racer, but not much was known about the car. Thankfully, the guys over at Mustang6G were able to snag a picture of the new car in all its glory at the convention center. Behold, above, the new Cobra Jet Mustang.
However, the question on everyone’s minds about this new Cobra Jet remains unanswered: is it a solid rear axle, or has it gone with an independent rear suspension like the rest of the Mustang lineup? Answers to that won’t be known until the start of the show, or until Ford finally sends out the press release.
While the suspension layout isn’t known, the Cobra Jet will likely be able to run low 8-second passes right out of the box, which will make for one hell of a ride.
So what do you all think of the new Cobra Jet, and what are you hoping for regarding the car’s suspension setup?
