Mustang Driver Lives After Crashing Into Overpass

Believe it or not, this could have turned out a lot worse.

No, it really could have, considering that after the Mustang hit an overpass in New York, the driver is still alive. In fact, after looking at how the car is practically severed in half, it’s pretty amazing that the driver survived the incident on the Southern State Parkway, as highlighted in a Farmingdale Patch report.

Apparently, the driver, 22-year-old James Nunziata, was ejected from the Mustang upon impact, which very well could have been his saving grace.

Nunziata did, however, have to be transported to the hospital and reportedly suffered back and internal injuries from the accident – and his Mustang is clearly totaled. But I’m sure if this guy has seen any photos from the accident, his car is the least of his worries.

At least it should be.
