Hellion Mustang Unleashes 1,400-plus Dyno Run

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5… ready for takeoff… 4, 3, 2, 1… BLAST OFF!

Yeah, I know it seems a little childish to compare a dyno test to a spaceship launch. Then again, seeing a Mustang chart a 1,416 RWHP output reading would throw a lot of adults off their game.

The video below captures the dyno test of the 2015 Mustang GT that hails from Hellion Power Systems. And it does a really good job of putting you right there at the scene of the powerful dyno run, as highlighted in an Auto Evolution report.

Running on E70, the beefed up S550 uses 55mm turbochargers and delivers 29.4 psi of boost. A previous Hellion Power Systems set-up, putting down 1,130 HP, pulled off an 8.9 second run on the track. Keeping that in mind we’ll certainly be keeping a close eye on the team’s 1,416 HP beast to see how deep into the ‘8s it goes.
