SoCal to Celebrate Carroll Shelby's Birthday with Huge Car Show

Tribute to feature over 400 rare Mustangs and Cobras Jan. 5 & 6 in Los Angeles.

Carroll Shelby is the most single-most recognized name in automotive history, which is why the 2019 Carroll Shelby Tribute and Cruise-in is the perfect way to kick off the new year and reflect on more than 60 years of Mustang greatness. Especially right before the epic return of the coveted GT500.

The event will take place at the Petersen Automotive Museum in L.A., Jan. 5 and 6. The first day will include a Forza driving competition, auction and panel discussion featuring Ford and Shelby VIPs such as Superformance CEO Lance Stander, racing legend Allen Grant, Original Venice Crew Co-founder Ted Sutton and Petersen Founding Chairman Bruce Meyer. This will be followed by an evening tribute to the late, great Shelby who sadly passed away in 2012.

The Sunday morning cruise-in starts at 9 am, and will gather more than 400 of the world’s fastest, rarest and most beloved Mustangs and Cobras, including the 1962 Shelby Cobra CSX2001 and a 1965 De Tomaso Prova P70, on the third floor of the museum’s parking structure.
