Silly Escalade, You Can’t Beat a 5.0 Mustang

Well this is hilarious stupidity if I have ever seen it. Some loony owner of a 2015 Escalade decided to drag race against a new Coyote-equipped Mustang.

You already know how the video below will end, but you still need to watch how it starts to really enjoy it. The Escalade is so quick at the lights that I almost think he jumped the start, and the Mustang appears to give him a full second head start before even attempting to take off. Then as they head down the ¼-mile, the pony car puts the hammer down and crosses the line first by almost a full second, with a 12 mph advantage in the trap speeds.

There was no other way this could have ended. The Escalade may have a new 6.2-liter V8, but with only 420 horsepower and a lot more weight to lug around, how would it ever best the lighter and more powerful Mustang GT?
