So the Blue Oval’s official name for it is “Line Lock,” but less than 20 seconds into this video, Ford Stability Control Engineer Scott Mlynarczyk refers to it how enthusiasts surely will going forward–it’s a “burnout feature.”

If there’s ever a car that embodies the “Built Ford Tough” tagline, it’s Jack Haden’s 2003 Mustang. After hiding out in a storm cellar with his pregnant wife to avoid the massive EF5 tornado that hit Oklahoma last week, Haden emerged to find his beloved Mustang thrown across the road and smashed into a tree. By the look of it, the Mustang was obliterated and would never run again. Imagine his surprise, then, when he turned the key and the engine fired right up.

Talk about quality time with your family. Really, what’s better than laying rubber in your Mustang side by side with another family member in theirs? While we don’t exactly condone such shenanigans on the street, at least they did it in the middle of nowhere! Have you ever done a burnout with your family or friends?
