‘Need for Speed’ Mustang Set to Hit the Track

That menacing looking Mustang Shelby GT50 starring in the upcoming “Need for Speed” flick will make a track stop at the Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend.
But don’t except any video to surface of the car rumbling out hot laps. The “Need for Speed” GT500, one of the latest in a long line of Mustangs to earn a starring role in a film, will only be serving as a pace car for the final 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup race.

German Star’s Shelby GT500 Goes Up in Flames

Yup, hold your breath.
Those are the remains of a Shelby Mustang GT500 that went up in flames.
We know, it’s quite painful for us to look at too as we stare at the charred front end of the classic American muscle car. Apparently, the GT500, owned by, Mark Keller, the star of a popular German TV show, met its unfortunate fate during a breakfast run.

A Shelby GT500 Built Out of Lego Parts?

One of the latest we’ve stumbled on is a remote control Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 built with 3,500 Lego parts. The model car, developed by a civil engineer by the name of Fernando from Sheepo’s Garage based in Spain, features lockable doors, a functional steering wheel and a realistic suspension.

2012 ‘Wounded Warriors’ Mustang Sells for $500,000 at Barrett-Jackson

The “Wounded Warriors” 2012 Shelby Mustang GT500 was sold for $500,000 at the Las Vegas Barrett-Jackson auction. The red, white and blue Supersnake features the signatures of hundreds of people who supported the car’s cross-country tour to raise awareness and money for American military personnel wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan and their families.

GT500 Hits 700hp With Bolt Ons!

Yeah, yeah. Everyone already knows the current 2013/2014 Shelby GT500 is a powerhouse, but every time I see one pound out 700 HP with just bolt ons, my head spins. Seriously, how is this even possible from a bolt-on, pump gas street car? It’s utter insanity!
