There’s no reason to lose sleep over recent reports that Ford will drop the V8 in the Mustang. The V8 is here, and it’s here to stay, so rest easy.

With only a few months left before the new 2015 Ford Mustang goes on sale, we’re getting a lot more antsy about a chance to get behind the wheel of the new car; however, for now we’re reveling in just about any and every visual we can get of the S550.

The second annual NMRA Cobra Jet Showdown presented by Jackie Jones Ford was once again held at Bradenton Motorsports Park in sunny Bradenton, Florida. The 2013 season-opening Cobra Jet showdown is always a good race as many Cobra Jet owners use it as a shakedown event for the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida. Twenty two Cobra Jets were on the property running in seven different index classes.
