Excellent post dude! I actually have my front GT bumper in transit so I will be doing this in the next week or so. Just thought I would add a little info about part number changes that have occured and prices for my area.

The front bumper isolator for the GT has changed to part number 17C947 - $6.20

Fender Sheilds are part number 16102 & 16103 @ $16.08 each.

Radiator mount is part number 8349 @ $30.97

Just got back from the Ford parts counter. Anyway, it looks like the part number I posted for the radiator and isolator are incorrect. The parts I ordered will be here next week so I'm waiting until I finish they swap to see if they gave me the right ones.

Price difference was negligable. 6.80 for the iso and 34.xx for the radiator.

Sorry if I mislead anyone.

I just did my rear bumper cover. The job is easier with the taillights out. The bumper catches on the rubber gasket that surrounds the tails when the new one is going back in. If you have these out and pop them back in when you are done it makes the job 10x easier. Also the GT rear bumper has an extra plastic bracket in the center of the rear. You will need an exta 13B519 pin-type retainer to clip the cener bumper cover to the center of the rear bumper.

How did you take the taillights out?

And where did you get the extra 13B519 retainer?

Thanks,
Tim

Taillights are pretty simple. Remove the plastic trunk liner near the trunk latch. There are 4 pushpin clips and 2 plastic torx retainers holding it in place. Behind each taillight are 3 7/16" nuts holding the tails in place. Remove those and pop them out. There is no need to remove the electical pieces.

I haven't got the extra retainer yet, I'm ordering it from Ford. It's unnecessary, but I don't want to chance it.

JUST INSTALLED MY FRONT BUMPER COVER, WENT PERFECT, THANKS FOR THIS HOW-TO

AS FAR AS THE FOAM BUMPER ISOLATOR, YOU CAN KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL ONE, YOU JUST NEED TO SHAVE THE RAISED "CENTER AFT UPPER" PORTION MARKED V6(WHICH IS ABOUT 1/4 INCH HIGH, TO BRING IT FLUSH WITH THE REST OF THE PIECE. (You can refer to SPARTAN photo earlier in this thread to see what I mean) .
This difference in height will allow for a lower support for the bumper cover, which is made 1/4" lower, made as such due to the GTgrill which is 1/4" deeper (lower) than the V6 grill.

SPARTAN mentionned that the GT foam piece is raising the bumper cover, in fact it is the opposite, it is lower, creating more space, in line with the GT cover which is lower

Interesting. I really didn't notice any difference. The GT isolator looked taller, but when I pounded it in a few times with my fist, it looked identical. *shrug*

I'm glad to hear this helped so many of my mustang brethren!

OK, I did the front bumper cover last night. Did it by myself in about 45 minutes, it's super simple. I have a couple of corrections to the step by step:
1) There are 5 plastic fasteners on each foward fender liner, not six, and three screws per side, not two. The plastic fasteners are in the following locations 2 above the tire holding the front fender liner to the rear, there are 2 near the middle of the liner holding the liner to the wheel well and there is one behind the tire holding the fender liner near the engine at the bottom of the liner. The three screws are on the outside edge of the foward fender liner near the bottom of the bumper cover.
2) The flanged nuts are labled 6 on the diagram, not 5. There are 2 of them per side.
3) You don't need "some screws". Specifically you need N801169S900 : 1 : PACK OF EIGHT SCREWS and W705992S441 : 1 : PACK OF FOUR INSERTS so that you can install 5R3Z-17626-BA : 1 : DEFLECTOR - STONE which connects to the underneath side of the bumper cover and to the radiator

Other than those few issues, great write-up!
