door trim strip piece

RE: door trim strip piece
Was that an option on your Stang? I saw it on another vehicle the other day and thought the owner had installed it. Maybe his dealer installed it? Or was it a factory add-on? Just curious.
My personal opinion is it looks out of place (when you see it in person), though from a distance (like in your photo) it looks fine. I have no idea how it's installed unfortunately. If it's dealer installed I wouldn't be surprised if it was just double-sided tape. If it was factory installed, there may be holes drilled in the door. But those are just guesses.
Ultimately, I say if you like it, keep it!

As I said in your wheel thread pony, TAKE THEM OFF! It is relatively easy, there is paint under them etc etc. Having them on there makes the side look too busy. They werent an option, I believe some sixers did, and some sixers didnt. My 06 did, but I've mostly seen 05's with them. Maybe it was 05 only? If you take it off the side of your car sooooo much cleaner and flows soooooo much better. Car looks sick though!

Mine came on the
car when I got it. I took them off by letting it sit in the sun for an hour, then just pulled them off SLOWLY from the back of the door to the front. Do it slowly so the foam tape does not tear in half. You will see what I mean when you start. Took me 10 minutes to take them off. cCean the area with goof-off if there is any glue residue, then wash and wax.

Mine is an '05 and didn't come with it. I think they are hideous. If you want your car to look like a old granny car and not a sports car then leave them on. I always felt bad for people that had those on there car thinking it was a new '06 look or something and thankful I had got an '05. Do yourself a favor and pull them off and then use them to play fetch with your dog.

Here I thought you were talking about the Cactus and the Coyote. I kinda liked them and the little house they were on too. I was gonna try to get that on my Stang so i could go camping and such. Oh well as for the thing on your door...take it off if you can without hurting the paint. Hope you smiled have a great day.
