Default Bubbles in racing stripe

I just got 10" racing stripes put on my 06 gt and in some places I can see bubbles in the stripes what can I do about it? And how do you clean and take care of them like if you get a stain on them?
Thanks for your help
Mark

take a needle and lightly poke it. then take a credit card or something smooth and flush out the water or air.

if this is vinyl, it should heal itself in the sun. often times, just time in the sun will evaporate anything causing the bubble.

Some really good advice IMO. I was freaking out that it looked like a little flap of one of my stripes was folded over on itself so I carefully used my nail to put it back in the right place and it stayed looking pretty okay for over a month now! However if they are brand new and are bubbling off in lots of places I would raise some hell with whoever I paid to do the stripe in the first place! As far as washing, you're not suppossed to powerwash real close up to them (duh) and I haven't had a stain I couldnt remove with soap and my sheepskin wash mitt in the 6 months I've had the car. I always make sure not to let waterspots stay anywhere on the vehicle for too long though so I can't say for sure about them. Other than that they're pretty easy to maintain, just make sure to get all the wax rubbed off the edges! [8D]

Good advice in both of the last 2 posts. Most of the smaller bubbles will work themselves out in the sun. I did my own stripes, they had some bubbles just like that in them, and they are all gone now. Smooth as can be.

As for taking care of the vinyls, just wash and wax them like the rest of your car. You really shouldn't have to worry about them staining. Just be careful if you use a buffer or high-speed polisher, don't wanna catch a corner or an edge with one of those.

Yes, +2 on this advise. I would not try to burnish the bubbles out though, that is only if you have water trapped under the vinyl. Since yours have been on for at least a day, those are most likely air bubbles. Make a tiny pin ***** in each one and let is sit out in the hot sun as much as you can for 2 or 3 days. They will all go away. The smaller ones probably won't require a pin *****, they will go away just from the heat.

What everyone above has told you is correct. I've run a graphics shop for 16 years and have some small bubbles in about every large installation. I always tell the customer to set it out in the sun as much as possible for the first couple weeks and the bubbles will work themselves out. I get some some suspicious looks sometimes, but when they come back to me, they say that it works. The bubbles you have pictured will most likely bake out. However, if they haven't after a couple weeks, do as instructed and ***** them at an outside edge and work the bubble towards your ***** point with your finger.
