Yeah I'm gonna try that stuff once I take the tint off to see if my window is scratched as well. If it is I will get the dealer to replace and then add that moleskin and retint. Hassles, hassles, hassles. Why couldnt they just make a better design....geeez
Yeah, I hear ya.. but ya gotta give em one thing.. it is the first coupe to have the dropping window like that. Its designed to have a superior seal to windows that dont drop. Supposedly 5 years from now we wont have the horrible leaking problems like all the older coupes (especially the Firebirds and Camaros) do. Since then alot of luxury cars have used the window drop method as well... and since none of the cars that have the dropping window are old enough yet, only time will tell as far as leaking goes.

also if you dont plan on purchasing moleskin you can cut the inside rubber a little bit like an 1/8th" or so. You can see how much rubs on the window. just cut it off the top and that should elimate the problem.

Ok- I confirmed that my scratches ARE NOT in the window and only in the tint. I already ordered the mole skin over the weekend and will be puttin that on and redoing the side windows as soon as it comes in.

FYI- asked the dealer to look at the windows today and was told they could not speak for any other Stang but my windows are scratched due to the tint being thicker than the window and its rubbing. When the tint was removed there was not one scratch on the window and I felt fine excepting the answer. This alone with a walk around the lot and did not find one car with a scratch on it even though the same 10 or so cars had the windows down like always. I know that the windows are not up and down as much as a owned car but I do know at this dealership they put the windows down like everyday on sunny days on the first 10 stangs or so. I know they dont leave them down at night so they are getting some use be it not as much as a drivers car. I also know they rotate cars up as they sell them. Was told it has been slow lately though.

Anyway, moleskin + retint doors, better = no more scratches!

It's an easy fix, it just suck that you have to spend time and money to fix a Ford quality of product problem. Oh, well.
