Question on side panel-paint or buy the take off
Anybody painted their side panel? Is it better to paint it or buy the take off? The takeoff cost like over a $100-$120 which I think is ridiculously expensive for a take off side panel.

RE: Question on side panel-paint or buy the take off
They charged like $40-50 shipping , so I was thinking of painting my side panel , it might cost less, I hate to throw away the side panel if I can only paint. I have WBlue by the way with 0% financing and with 18" wheel.

Its so much easier to buy them i think, they are cheap...And unless you plan on spray painting them yourself you will spend more painting them then buying the take off's.

I painted mine with a spray can from duplicolor. The hardest part was getting the 'christmas tree' fasteners out without breaking them. They are long and pull apart easily. I don't know if they come with the take off's

I'm having mine painted along with my mirrors when my hood gets painted in a week or 2. I plan on dry sanding with 320 automotive paper to get the rough texture off then wet sanding with 400 before they go to paint.

Where did buy the spray can ( I have WBlue ) and if you break the fasteners , can you buy it from the dealer or any auto parts store? Do you have to prime, prep it b4 painting or just spray paint it?
Thanks.
