Anyone know much about the Cervini's Ram Air hood?
Is there anyone with the Cervini's Ram Air hood? Anyone know if it can be made to be functional? Any pix other than the cervini's website? I haven't found any yet. I'm sure it's a love it or hate it hood... I guess I LOVE it

Sure, I'll try to get some pics of it open as well.
The Cervini Ram Air hood is only a mini-functional hood. It isn't technically ram-air hood because it doesn't channel the incoming air to the CAI or stock airbox. However, the scoops in the front ARE open to the engine bay. In one of the pics, you can clearly see my yellow JLT. Also, Driving in the rain has not been a problem; yet, the engine bay does get a little bit dirtier, but that's OK since I enjoy cleaning my engine bay like once a week.
Stay tight for those open-hood pics...

RE: Anyone know much about the Cervini's Ram Air hood?
So I've got my Cervini's Ram air hood on the way as part of the rest of their kit. I like the ram air hood much better than the eleanor hood. I'm sure some people think I'm stupid, but it's my car right?
Anyway, I don't know how to do it, but I wonder how hard it would be to make it a functional ram air hood. I've never paid attention to how other functional hoods work, so I don't even know where to start with a design. I think it would be neato to try though. Maybe a little fiberglass work could get the job done. My main question is how to make a seal with something that would also need to disconnect when you open the hood. I guess I can visualize it with some rubber parts that come together, but how the heck do you line those up when you won't be able to see them once you close the hood. Also, they're not parts that you can just go down to home depot, or auto zone and pick up. Can anyone think of factory hoods that have fuel injection and ram air that maybe I can bogart some parts from?
