A while back I saw some stripes on an '05 that looked just like the ones on a '69 Mach 1, you know, the black/gold, gold/whiteor red/gold ones that run down the middle of the door. It looked really cool, I'd like to get some, but I can't remember where I saw them. I don't think that they cost a fortune either. If someone knows where I might find these, let me know. I suppose I could buy a set for a '69, but I'm sure that I saw some that were made for our cars. Thanks, Dave

More than likely they are just repop 69 Mach 1 stripes ....

That might be OK too. Wouldn't mind getting some that didn't cost $135., but that might just be how much I have to pay.

I just got a little new info on the stripe problem. I called Down's Ford, that is the dealer that had that cool white Mustang on their web page. They said that the stripe kit that was used on that car was a prototype and not for sale at this time. They are waiting for the kit to be officially authorized by Ford. He says that when the kit comes out, the stripes probably won't be exactly like the '69. I guess they will be real close, but the side stripes will be a little wider. I asked if they would be offering template for painting the hood, like was available for the '69. I can't remember his exact words, but it sounded as if they would. He thought that the kit would be out in about 2-3 months. Should be cool! You can see this car on the thread entitled 'wanna be a mach 1' or 'mach 1 wanna be' or something like that. Dave
