I installed the Sequential lights
volcom, that yellow horse with the sporza wheels looks hot as fire!...just love it...the sequential lights is a must mod for me whenI get myself a stang...and I'll get to see them if my wife drives the car occasionally or if I check out my own car for state inspection (who knows, maybe I'll do it more often than needed!)
You can extend the sequential lights all the way back to the 1967 Cougar. They were the first to use them. I had 2 x 1970's and the sequential "electronics" where composed of 4 relay units mounted on a 12-16" metal block if I remember correctly. HEAVY! It has been over 20 years and I am looking forward to adding these new versions to my pony. Way back in the '80's these were running $250+ if you could find them.
PLUS - if you ever decide to trade-up it is the one modification you can quickly UNDO! Put that $160 back in your pocket. Just don't trade in your old wiring harness as I see offered on one site (save $40 or something)...

I have no idea on stuff like this, but how would I know if this would be legal or not in NY. It seems like a cool mod and that I am concerned about nothing, but it would be a little tougher for people to reckognize when you are breaking
Good point!
Are there any kits out there that flash ALL THREE at once when breaking?

It would be kind of interesting to see a video of a turn signal going and then someone breaking with the signal still on, since that is gonna be real world conditions...

I looked at the website for the one that doesn't require sodering earlier in the thread. It looks like they had a way to clip the wire so that you can break normally.

Interesting how WWW.webelectricproducts.comis also linked to a Netherlands site...

Their phone number is in OHIO.
Yes, I'm sure they all are similar... connect the "control" wire to:
1. The Turn Signal power - to have sequential turn signals and CONSTANT brake lights. (only gets power when turn signals activated)
2. To constant power feed and BOTH turn signals and brakes cycle sequentially.
** Click on the Questions & Answer page, a very detailed desciption of signalling and braking is given.**
Answers the question for NY, just use option #1... Cougars have been legal there since 1967...

You've got to be kidding! A quick history lesson: Sequential tail lights pay homage to American muscle cars of the past. 1969-1973 Mercury Cougars, 1969-1971 Thunderbirds, and 1969-1970 Shelbys had them from the factory.
