headlight front lense
would it be possible to remove the plastic "lense" on the headlights for our cars? i think that the setup would look alot more retro without it, and i think that as the years pass, that plastic piece is gonna start to fog up from sunlight exposure

RE: headlight front lense
Usually these are sealed and need to be heated up to remove the lens. From experience on my Durango you have to put it in an oven to get it hot enough. Then you have to be careful not to heat it up so much you ruin the headlight. I know from experience. I wanted to paint part of the inside of my headlight on my truck then put the lens back on. So if you could get the lens off without ruining the rest the bulb would be exposed to the elements.I know that just getting oil from your hands on the bulb can cause it to break. I don't think the bulb will last very long if it got wet or dirty.

I don't remember who it was, but someone on here painted the inside of his headlights to match his car. He'd probably know how to get them off. Sorry I don't have anything else, it was months ago that I saw it.
