Ok, I got an 06 GT, and have purchased a few parts to dress up the car. Got the Roush spoiler and hood scoop, Street Scene gen 2 side window louvers, and the Astra Hammond rear aluminum louvers. The car is all black, but I am painting on an 18inch stripe down the middle, a short gap, then a 3/4 stripe on both sides of the center stripe.

Is it too much to paint the stripes on the rear louvers also? I am pretty sure the stripes will be yellow, but am still shopping for colors.

The stripes in the pic are just photoshopped, and are about 15inches instead of 18.

Almost forgot. I am wanting to paint the hood scoop black to offset inside the stripe. What do ya think. Not good enough to do all that on photoshop.

 

Offset color for the Roush Scoop, Yep. Could work.

With a yellow stripe down the middle I would contrast that with the black scoop and continue the stripe down the rear louvers. I think it would look great and have never seen a yellow stripe in that combo and it won't give me the bumble bee feeling at all the way you want to go. Go for it! J

 

Sarcasm or no? I get mixed reactions about the bumble bee look, but I don't feel it would turn out that way. Hopefully I can get a shot tomorrow of a black gt that has the rear louvers on it now to photoshop (or try anyway). I can't seem to find a back shot anywhere from different elevation levels.If you see any, please post them. Don't want an angle shot, I want a complete back view.

 

No sarcasm at all -I was saying that other stripe combo's I have seen give me that feeling but the way you want to do yours is different and doesn't give me that feeling at all. J
