Nice, the only bad thing about the 20" cobra Rs is there isent much rubber on the road, I mean there only 8.5" thick. The only reason I might go for 18"s is for the better grip and handling. I like the look of the deep dish.

I have 20's with the FRPP handling pack. Ride is stiff, but not unbearable. It's great on the highway and at high speed. Just like the car is glued to the roadand riding a rail. You forget about the bumps when you make your first U turn with the throttle down- a little fish tail, then it bites and you just go! (Don't try this at home kids). I got the handling pack first before I got rid of my 18" fan blades and I have to say the Cooper Zeon 20's handle better and are quieter.

Thanks,

Phil

MI Stang,
Thanks, but the 'your girl' in the picture you are refering towas my daughter! And that was one of the FEW times I've let her drive the S/C car! She drives the black vert.

PRGT,
Size differes between brands and even makes of tires even with the same sidewall sizing make it difficult to give a correct measurment based on side marking alone.
Tire rackhas a list of tires in the275x30x20 size. Of all the tires listed in this size seems each had a different 'tire revolutions per mile' rangingfrom 776 to 787.
The Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Positionwas 26.6" tall and the Continental ContiSportContact 2was 26.5" tall. (most that gave size claimed 26.5" tall for this size)

northy_polk,
Nice that hearing fromanother board member that's been to Alaska. (actually pictures were taken in or around Palmer)
Nice Mustang you have there. I will say I REALLY like your rims and once the Saleenbody kit is installed onour yellowMustang(end of May)I may just take my Saleen wheels and do the same thing. Igot a quote of $100 per wheel. Can you offer an opinion as to how you think the blackpowder coating will hold up? Also what areyourunning for tire size.

well since this thread is all about 20" wheels i don't feel bad semi-jacking it for a sec. the coating should be just fine as long as you're not off-roading or anything :-))) mine just has the satin black coating and you have to be careful to only wash them with soap and water, no harsh chemicals [common sense]. it's great cause i never worry about brake dust any more!!!clean or dirty, theylook bad-*** just the same. i paid $120 per wheel for the powdercoating, so if you can get it for $100 go for it! tires are inexpensive [$450 shipped for all 4] dunlop 8000 265/35s.

have fun with the musk oxen up there and catch a few Kings for me :-)))
