I think most folks would shy away from this mod just because of the amount of effort expended versus the gain (both in function and aesthetics). For racing at the Bonneville Salt Flats, a belly pan would be important. Another instance would be a purpose-built show car, which you could visualize in a display sectioned off with velvet ropes, with one wheel removed and mirrors under the car showcasing all the cool features that you otherwise wouldn't be able to see.

Don't get me wrong - I think it's great that you are thinking "outside the box". Keep those ideas a-comin'!

How about a belly pan / skid platesto protect those fuel lines that Ford designers put so GD low that a stick or road debrismight ripthem loose!

I live on a dirt road and protecting the underside would not be a bad idea.

that was one of the things i was thinking about when i came up with the idea... i'm worried about stuff hitting the fuel/brake lines... i also figured, yeah, why not improve the aerodynamics as well.. we have a .355 drag coefficient, not really very good, and i figured if we could reduce turbulence under the car, it'd probably be very beneficial.
