Hello i have tied that new ICE polish and it looks great. But do i need to use a wax over it or befor the polish? I just though the ICE past was a wax then after i got done i read ICE past polish. So should i wax?

if it says polish then it is cleaning ur car. u dont NEED to wax, but it is extremely extremely highly advised that u do so, for protection and much added looks. if ur car looks great before the wax, imagine afterwards

 

Ya wax is a good thing it helps protect.....polish really makes the car look good wax does the grunt work and BTW ice is good stuff but don't last long.

 

Wax is not the best thing in the world to use on todays thermoplastic based paints.
Depending on the condition of the paint you may want to polish, wax or condition the paint.
The type of car wax, car polish, or paint conditioneris more important than the brand,
example: paste, cream, or liquid.
When your concern are the abrasives found in polishes or waxes,Choose a pure liquid product.Liquidsworks better on thermoplastic based paints.
They won't build up like wax or wear off the finish like polish.

 

Today I spent 2 hours on my car. First I used Meguiar's Detail Spray and a Microfiber cloth to remove any dust on the car. Second, I used Meguiar's #7 Polish. After wiping that down good I applied Meguiar's #26 Wax. I would have put the #27, but I can't find it locally. I must say, the finish is AMAZING!
Some guys on here have complained how hard the #26 is to remove. I made sure I used it in a shady place while the surface was cool and only did one section at a time. It was not hard to remove at all. I do know it it best when using products like this, not toapply in a circular pattern. Apply it in a straight line back and forth spreading the liquid evenly.
Tomorrow, I'll be spending time on the interior.

Some polishes also contain waxes and some waxes also contain polishes -- but Ice is pretty much neither. It's basically a heavy detailer with some spray wax properties.

Though guys with newer cars seem to like Ice, it's got its limitations and it's short-lived.

At some point you might want to try using a clay bar (not liquid clay) and use a traditional apply, let haze, and then remove product -- either one step or 2 or 3. If you're averse to spending much time or effort, try a product like FX SynWax -- very easy on and easy off.
