removed door panels

Anyone ever remove their door panels? I am curious to know if the inset piece (the one that is covered in leather with the IUP) is removable, I would like to do something to it, just not sure what just yet.

well that shows how to remove the entire door panel, but i think he's just asking if its possible to remove the leather insert. i have been wondering that myself.
