Default racing stripe application

How hard is it to apply racing stripes in a straight line? Any tips or tricks? Does anybody do paint-on rather than applying the strips?
Thanks.

The hood and the trunk aren't too bad, you just have to find the center and measure the location of the inner edges of the stripes. The roof is the hard part, good luck with that one.

So, start first with the hood?

When I did my stripes, I started with the hood. Thats the easiest part and lets you get familiar with the application. The roof isn't too bad either, but good luck on the front bumper if you choose to go all the way down (the body contours are challenging). That almost took me longer than the rest of the car combined. It gets a little tricky around the rear badge emblem too, but with a little patience the vinyl will lay how you want it.

The instructions won't tell you this (at least they didn't when I did mine) but a blow-dryer is a MUST over the bumpers.
