I didnt use any sealant or anything...I guess you could run into that problem if you buy cheap products, but quality products with come with the right rubber sealing built into the bulb.
Just plug and play...real easy...
I paid $250 Cash to my door everything...

Or do they provide the whole assemblies, L & R sides?

Use the stock buckets...just plug and play...mine are only single beam, so i dont have hte option for a highbeam...but really, i dont need it...these bulbs are damb bright...
Just unplug the stock bulbs...take the wiring, plug it into the new ballasts...mount the ballasts (mounted mine on the inner fender with 3M tape)...run the ballasts to the bulb and then plug the bulb back into teh stock position...works like a charm...I think its a must for everyone...
Maybe thats the reason that the 08's are now coming with them as an option...
