Default avic d3 Question (dvd/gps) topic

So I love the looks of the avic d3, anybody already have it and want to give me some insight? problems? easy install? Do it yourself? Also are there any other gps/dvd players (ideal to fit the 4inch space in the mustang) that anybody wants to brag about? i'm open for some other product ideas, although avic d3 is on the top of my list.

what are the shaker 500's going for if i wanted to sell mine? ebay?

I have an Eclispe AVN 5500. Very Impressed with and will fit no problem. I had a shop do the install. I am not sure how much the shaker 500 would go for on ebay just look around.

Never had a days problem with either the Avic-Z1 (installed in the beast)
The wife started with a D1 in her Focus, upgraded to a D2 then a D3 NONE of the have caused a days problem

Love em especially with the navtraffic enabled

i've been reading reviews of the d3, and the only bad thing that i saw about it was that one guy was pissed because the aux was primarily for the ipod. which is something that i don't have a problem with since i have a nano. i'm thinking about getting one myself. but i would like to see how the set up looks in somebody's ride.

Actually, I believe the Z2 has a decent interface just like the D3 (but don't quote me on that cause I've only got a Z1 and a D3)

bascially I mean that why would you need to pay a grand more for30 gig in the z1/2 and have to deal with loading in cds, when instead you could just connect an ipod to it for 300 bux and have 80 gigs of music/video

EXACTLY why the wife has the D3...loaded iPod, works great!
and NO, the D3 doesn't use an AUX as iPod input, it has it's own cable that plugs directly into the D3 which is probably why the interface is much better than the Z1 that uses IPBUS for communication into a cdib100ii
