Default Rear window scoops

I was looking into window scoops, and those of you with them how do you like them? I'd like to get them, but I wonder how to keep the actual window behind the scoop clean. Doesn't it get all dirty?

i assume you are talking about quarter window scoops/louvers. i like them, but i don't think very many can be taken off, but not positive. i DO know for a fact that the roush louvers can be removed and put back on for cleaing your window. but like i said, not sure about all other companies. hope this helps you

I'm pretty sure if you stick them on the windows with the 3m tape then they aren't coming off for cleaning.

Seems like common sense to me.

And I only know of 2 company's that dont use permanent sticky tape to affix the louvers - Roush and Silver Horse Racing.

Yeah, I meant the quarter windows, my fault.

So Roush is the way to go, I'm looking at the ones on AmericanMuscle.com. This may be a noob question, but how would I get them off to clean the windows?

ok, a couple things....

-they are held on the window with 3 metal mounting brackets (the brackets are held on with 3M tape), if you want to take the louver off for cleaning, just unscrew 3 hex bolts, it's really easy.

-if you decide to buy the roush louvers, look for a site that is selling the painted louvers, unless you know a good painter that won't charge too much. i bought mine directly from roush and its a perfect match for not just the color but factory durability/qaulity

hope this helps you.... ....can't wait to see some pics of your decision!

Just got a set of the Roush off of eBay for $225 new and painted
by Roush. Have not gotten them, but lets keep our fingers crossed
that they are notpreviously installed scratched and faded POSes.
I'll get some pics up when they arrive and I get them installed.
