i had the same problem on my tints. the problem is that ford doesnt put the felt lineon the inside side of the window housing. you DO have to replace the tint but i got mine taken off and redone for 60 bucks. The guy even threw in the felt lining for free. It really costs only about 5 dollars for it. My tint hasnt been scratched since.

Stripthe scratched tintoff, put moleskins on and reinstall new tint.
