1) Stripes are for kids (so if you're a kid, NP...)*
2) Stripes look best over the scoop, IMO
3) Do what YOU want to do and what YOU think looks good
4) Lots of great pics on the forum to browse for answers to some of your questions
* don't get me wrong, I think stripes look hot. I just prefer my Stang to be less... obvious.
Good luck!

Hmm well I am a 20 year old kid..
Anyway, you might want to check out getting pre-cut stripes, I got mine from Baltimore Street Mods-

They even have an option to have it pre cut for a Roush hood scoop.

Blue should look pretty sharp on it. and yea, I like the 10" the best, and maybe look into having a small pinstripe next to them on either side.

Don't be dissapointed that paint is too expensive. Vinyls are muchmore practical. You can change colors, styles, or remove them all together for a fraction of what a one time paint job costs. I know I'll end up switching mine before too long (possibly to matte black or leave it stripeless for a while).Plus, if you ever decide to sell your stang (hopefully just to upgrade to a GT500 or something) a potential buyer can easily and inexpensively do the same if they're not thrilled with the look you chose.
I think the racing stripes look killer on the S197 Mustangs and i am thinking of doing it tomine. I just have a question about color, my stang is the Alloy Metallic Color, what color racing stripes would look good with? I was thinking maybe black so they don't stand out and kind of blend in. Anyone else have any input?
