Stripes?
Around how much did you guys get yours painted for? I thought i'd ask in the OP's place since I am interested going this route myself...
As for the cost of install and custom vinyl stripes for a mustang, around $350 is what myself and the shop I worked for would charge. If they wanted the stripes by themselves it was about $180. Most customers opted to let us do it for them since we (or I lol since it was usually only me) did them quicker than they could and more accurate. The most we charged was $620 for a pair of stripes with the side stripes and custom script, lettering on the stripes going up the front hood of the car, and custom windshield logo package. I'd say it was a pretty good deal for all of that and installed. We did quite a few mustangs just from word of mouth. Even though I left there some time ago, I still see the mustangs I have done driving around town doing just fine with their stripes. No problems other than their own doings (scratches, knicks, peeling from washing TOWARDS the edges of lettering instead of away).
Vinyl = WAYyyy cheaper than paint, looks good, but as low as the cost, the lifespan of the color and vinyl itself before it dries up isn't as long as paint. It's all up to you.
+1 for paint looking sweet.
