Default Replacement body panels

Whats my best bet for getting a replacement passenger side quarter panel? Someone backed into'er today while I was gone and quarter panel is toast and passenger door needs bondo at least.

See if you can use your Insurance without your premiums going up.
You'll be responsible for your deductible only.
Judging by your description, it's abouta $2000 job.

Just for replacing a quarter panel? !

Id rather live with it for now than deal with insurance, I was hoping a panel would be a few hundred and I can have a body shop paint it for another couple hundred.

If its the front, its not a quarter panel, its just a fender. The rear is a quarter panel and it is at least a $2000 job. The old panel has to be cut out and a new one welded in.

The fender is just turn a few bolts and take it off. Not sure what the part cost would be, but you definitely should be able to do the swap yourself.

You can try going to a junk yard.

This past summer someone ran a stop sign plowing into the door of my daughter's 2006 Focus. Since it was the other person's fault, I had the dealer replace and repaint the door as well as the front fender. They painted the rear quarter panel too so it would all blend in better. The cost was around $2700. So pascal's quote is pretty much dead on.

He also mention a boo boo on the door BTW.
The fender is cheap, retails for $149.

Dealing with insurance sucks, but they'll pay to get it done right. The paint will have to be feathered in with the non-affected area so that there is no sudden color or tone changes that makes eye irritation. And yes, $2,000 sounds about reasonable, if not low. I had a door of a past car repaired for $1,900; they had to replace only the skin but had to blend the paint in with the rest of the car.

Do it right so that you're happy in the end.

Good luck.

Yeah its the quarter panel.

Edit: I guess if the body shop says itll be pretty expensive to even just bondo and repaint, I'll just get some side scoops to cover up the dent, and get the scratch touched up, temporary until I can afford the real fix.
