Ok I was thinking about tinting my windows. So here is a few questions. What brand or type of tint to use. What is the legal limit on tint in VA. Also how much could I expect it to for the tint. As in haveing someone do it and if I have my uncle to do it just materials

legal is probably 35%, price for install from a tint shop would be 150-180..dont know about brands to buy to have someone you know do it, but unless they really know what they are doing its not worth being cheap and doing it that way, alot of shops give you LIFETIME warranty for that $150-180, which makes it mroe than worth the price

A glass shop may be able to install the tint. We have a window tint guy here (NV)and his rates are $60 for the driver & pass windows or $100 for drivers, pass, 2 sides and rear.

Make sure you check out Taco Bill's "how to" section on window tint with Moleskin. If you don't put Moleskin on your windows, it will scratch the tint when rolling it up or down.

thanks for the replys, I know that no one on here can proably tell me, but what are some good shops that will do it plus the mole skins.

It's probably better, and cheaper if you do it yourself. I did the install myself, you might need a friends help though. Now all I need to do is get my windows re-tinted... if only I knew...

i asked the place i went to to install it but instead they gave me a lifetime warrentiy on it so
i havent had any problems a year later
