I was thinking about getting some matte black stripes for my black gt and was wondering if anybody has this combo or seen it. Opinions/Pics?

I have seen it once it looks very sick. Im going with the same look.. Just look at a pick of a roush blackjack but I would love to see some pics of some members cars too

 

I personally saw the Blackjack with matte stripes and it looked very good.

 

They auctioned off a new gt500kr at the big Barrett-Jackson auto auction in Arizona that was black with matte black stripes. Besides the fact that it was a gt500kr, it and the stripes looked pretty sick. I say go for it.

 

Now, when having said matte black stripes painted on, would you have them cleared over as well? Logic tells me yes, but then there's this little part of me that thinks that may make them a little glossier since they'll have clear on them... ????

I really want matte black stripes, I just don't want to have trouble with wax sticking to them and crap...

 

Initially I was looking at vinyl stripes. Roush sells 6" wide ones that fit a stock GT, but they look too thin imo, so I am trying to find some 10" ones.

They have Boss style and Shelby styles. They have the matte finish and it looks sick. And clearing over matte finish kind of defeats the matte finish so that doesnt really work. Still havent decided yet, might go with boss stripes in matte finish. Black on black looks sick though....I saw the california special with that.

I actually saw a Knight Rider preview at the movies this past weekend and KITT had matte black stripes. I thought it looked very good. Considering it myself.

 

the matte black stripes on a black stang make me wish i had bought a black one.

It is one of the best looks you can have on the cars.

If your car is black, this is a must!!
