Default Shift boots

I just installed a hurst short throw shifter and am looking at getting a new shift boot. I want to make the boot shorter but am unsure how much material to take off.

This is the website that raised this question of how much shorter it should be so there is not so much excess material. Anyone have any suggestions

Default RE: Shift boots

Due to the fact that I have an auto cant give you much suggestion for the shortness of the boot. But I can tell you that they are a great company to go through! I got my shifter and ebrake boots from them for my old cavy. Great quality and great people. Takes a bit to get an email from them but easy to work with.
