Remove Factory Fake Gas Cap

RE: Remove Factory Fake Gas Cap
Open the trunk you need to pull out the bottom carpet area first the plastic cover that is around the back part of the trunk at the latch area needs to be removed. Then there are 3 studs behind the carpet area to the left and right of the plastic part you just removed. Move the carpet out of the way and you will see the 3 studs (on each side) with a nut on them. Unscrew the nuts then wiggle the taillight around. You may have to tap on the studs with a hammer too just do it easy so not to damage the studs. The taillight will come off the car and you will have access to the back where the tail light bulbs can be removed and new ones put back in.

YellowTang, I too removed my fake pony gas cap and had the two guide holes welded up and painted over. See photo below
